This course is about American History from the Civil War until present day. The focus is on the values, traditions, and changes that have characterized and determined American culture, political institutions, social structures, and economic systems. A unit is included on the Constitution of the United States and it's "core values".

Westward Expansion
Week of March 7-11 We discuss life of Native Americans and how they were treated by the settlers and cavalry. We also discuss key battles and leaders. Week of February 29-March 4 We start a new unit on Westward expansion of the U.S. We discuss the Manifest Destiny and it's impact on the Native Americans |
During our unit on immigration, we presented our family history and had a family fun fest with various foods from around the world.
